K&S 2012

Katie and Sandy.  They used to call us K&S in college (not really, we just called ourselves that).  We were inseparable.  Everyone wanted to be us (not really, we just told ourselves that)

Katie, the funnest thing in Minnesota.  And there are alot of fun things in Minnesota, mind you.

Yes she is pointing a knife.

Katie Jr.  (Mia--she can ride horses with the best of 'em, just like her mom)

Katie Jr. Jr. (Eva--she has little tricks up her sleeves at all times, just like her mom)  She is too cute.

Hadn't seen her in 5 years, but when I got there I felt like I had just seen her yesterday.  She's the best.

Katie and her sister Kim.

Went kayaking.  Bald Eagle Lake, MN.

Only these two could share a one person kayak and totally pull it off.

We went tubing on the lake.  It was 100 degrees most of the trip.  And not to mention humid.
Nothing else to do but get in the water!  So fun.

The weather was perfect that night on the river.

Katie's dad is the real ship captain.  Cap'n Mike.  We went on a dinner cruise on his riverboat.

K&S.  We laugh so much when we're together Katie's husband just looks at us like we were crazy.
That's okay, we're used to that by now.

Katie and Lil' Eva.  Katie's finger is wrapped up, that morning at the barn her horse broke her finger.  Ouch.

Lil' Eva taking over the camera.

The official dessert of K&S.  Special K bars.  We almost didn't make them.  What
were we thinking?  Katie's husband had to take the pan away from us we ate so many. Hmph.

Lick the spoon? Katie's on it.

Katie focused on getting every last bit of chocolate.

This was the funnest trip ever.  Can't wait to go back.  K&S fo-ev-a as Katie would say.

13.1

I ran the AF Canyon half on Saturday.  Here's the start line, we had to be there sooo early (4:30 a.m.) but it was so pretty up there at sunrise I suppose it was worth it.

Lo and behold, look who's picture was at the start and the finish line! The race was a cancer fundraiser and we were able to submit a picture beforehand of loved one.  I had no idea they would use the one I submitted, especially considering how many runners there were.  What a great surprise!  So great to see her there with me at the start.

You can't tell by the picture, but this was as big as a giant movie screen.  It was pretty cool.  And all along the course they had signs with names people had submitted and why they were running for them.

Just running along... The course was so beautiful, down the canyon next to the river.

Almost done, phewf.  This is my new favorite race.  Who's with me next year?

Californ-i-a

Just went to California for some R&R.

The view from our hotel.  Dana Point.  So pretty.

Stayed at a resort overlooking the ocean. No big deal.  Chairs were set up for a
wedding that day.

Had to stop for a treat at the marina.

And this was the only picture of a real person that was taken on my camera the whole trip--and I didn't even take it.  Oops.  Mmm diet coke...

Tried to do a workout on these stairs.  Brutal.  Harder than they may appear.
See you again real soon, CA.

Zion National Park

Took a last minute trip to St. George.  We had perfect weather--not too hot.

 Leaving the canyon.

We went on a few hikes in Zion and Snow Canyon.

Check out the tiny road and tiny cars in the background.

Pensive Kelly.

Figured out my self timer.  It only took me a year you guys.

All in all a fun trip!
