California Dreamin'

First stop on my trip, Santa Monica. Dear Vanilla, Hand over the cupcakes and noone gets hurt.

Don't judge us but we may or may not have ordered 14 of these.
HAD to have a picture of this ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier. This is where Speidi got engaged guys.

This is Amanda. She likes a side order of ketchup with her ketchup.
This is Katie. She likes her meal with a side order of cash. She has to remind me that "Noone has money, ya just spend it." Best. advice. ever.

This is my niece and nephew. Adorbs!
And check out this cute little nugget of a nephew. He calls me Nan-Nan. I am his favorite.
Ofcourse we celebrated Grandma Jennie's 93rd birthday. She rocks.

We always stay in a cozy little place called Carpinteria. Aahh, the beach.
We usually swim out to this platform, but I watched too much Shark Week before I left. I just. couldn't. do it.

The fam.

Me and Miss Amanda Jane.
Coolest land EVER...

The marine layer set in, and didn't leave. But that didn't stop the fun.

Next stop, Robitaille's candy shop. Love it!

So much candy, so little time...
Mmmm, gotta dig right in...
He looks sad only because we couldn't buy one of everything.

Check out this cool tree!

Until next time, Carpinteria, I miss you already.

The Wedding Extravaganza!

Just took a trip to Denver for a very important event. KK's wedding!

The happy couple...

Get down with your bad self KK...

No detail left undone, it was so pretty...

Cupcakes?? Yes please! I'd like one of each. Yes I do.

The girlies...

I gave KK specific instructions to throw the bouquet to me. But I was intercepted...So mad...

Time to put up my feet on the veranda...Ahh, so relaxing and pretty...

The reception was at the Stanley Hotel. We stayed there that night. Lots of celebs have stayed here. P.S. It is supposedly haunted...

And do you recognize THIS staircase? This is where Jim Carey was walking down the stairs handing out hundies to all the valets in 'Dumb & Dumber'. CLASSIC. Can you picture his fur boots and the lamborghini to boot?
The day we were leaving we spotted a ghost flying out this window... do you see it??

On our way back to the airport we stopped in Boulder for lunch. I love the tree-lined streets, shops and cozy outdoor dining on Pearl Street.

What a fun weekend.

And Congrats to KK!

Back In the Day...

After I graduated college I, like anyone else, hit the pavement and started looking for a job. That task turned out to be a lot harder than I thought it would be. After filling out applications for over a year, I finally got a job at LDS Hospital. That was 9 years ago. And although that particular job wasn’t the best suit for me, look what I got out of it….

(T-Bone makes a special visit to Utah and this is the ONLY picture we took)

Life-long friends. I know now that I had to wait for that particular job. Otherwise I never would have met these lovely ladies. First I met Angela (not pictured) at the fax machine. Then Sarah, in the training room, and Katie (aka T-bone) in the cafeteria (at the 8th and C cafĂ© to be exact). Friendship quickly ensued. This included about a million lunches together, a kajillion emails back and forth, many visits at each other’s desks, and almost daily trips to the hospital gift shop to get a snack. Oh, those were the days. We won’t mention the accidental “reply to all” emails from Sarah that went to the whole hospital. Lol.

And even though two of you chose to move out of state (boo!), rarely a day goes by that I don’t talk to one or all of these girls. We like to call ourselves The Wolf Pack, or the A-Team. Not really, but it just sounds cool. These days though, we DO call ourselves Team Sarah.

Candace (pictured) never worked at the hospital with us but she may as well have :)

Birthday With My Besties

A night with just the girls is rare these days, but we managed to pull it off. Oh, how I heart these besties. Ofcourse, not all my besties are in these pictures, but, you know who you are :)

And Sar-Bear being able to join us, how great is that.

Hamming it up for the camera. Looks like a great engagement pic guys...

And KK managed to fit herself into that tiny, blue bag--a present just for me...

Free dessert, get in mah bell-ay...

KK put signs all over the living room describing ME on my b-day. This was the best one.

Oh KK,
you know me too well.
