Washington DC, Part 2

The Vietnam Wall.

A panoramic shot

The air and space museum

We went to Alexandria for the day, it was really fun.  We did a lot of shopping, then when it was time to leave
we took a boat ride back to Georgetown.  Of course that was the only time it kind of rained on us, when we were
on a boat.  Ha.  It wasn't bad though.

The rotunda of The Capitol

Oh and Yes.  We went to Georgetown Cupcake. The line was huge, we probably waited
45 minutes, I made Katie do this.  Ha.  She doesn't even like cupcakes, but she humored me and
we still got a half dozen. Haha.  They were so meticulous when packaging the cupcakes it was crazy.

Their menu is forever long.

Yes please.

The monuments from the water

I talked Katie into getting some aviators too. Ha.

Just on the boat, heading into that big storm behind us :)

Check out those dark clouds.

But then the sun came out!

We walked by Georgetown Cupcake again the next day and had to get another shot.

Saying goodbye at the airport.  Boo...

It was such a fun trip, I didn't want her to leave.  Until next time, K.

This is a really long post of pictures! Oh well. I'm going to have to split this in to two posts there are so many!
This is at the Lincoln Memorial looking towards the reflecting pond.

We're goofballs and we know it.  I have so much fun with this girl, she's the best!

In front of Abe.

Don't mind the people behind us, there were so many people there
it was impossible to just get us in a shot.

Hello White House!

The old gal is getting a facelift--from earthquake damage that happened
a while ago, so you can see all the scaffolding.

Katie is on the left if you can spot her!

The Library of Congress

Walking through Dupont Circle looking for a chocolate shop, we never found it. Hmph.
Pretty neighborhoods.
We had such a fun time!

Katie and Sandy in DC

I made a little video of our stay in DC. It was so fun to be there with Katie. You won't find a cuter video than this... Haha. Most of this was done in Alexandria/Georgetown.  I'll post pictures soon.

I made another video, from pictures I took in Carpinteria last summer. I just didn't get it posted on Mother's Day. But, enjoy. Song by Michael Dowdle
